A little while ago Steve Aoki stopped through The new Yorker in London On, where Jon had the chance to sit down with one of the worlds craziest dJ’s to ask him a few questions.  Big ups to Jon for repping ‘The Element Of Surprise’ shirt by Ambush Apparel during that interview.

After some conversation the idea of doing a collaboration Ambush Apparel x Asphalt Regime shirt was brought into the discussion. To be clear; Asphalt Regime is a division of Universal Music Ca. They are “The New Era Of Street Team’ promoting some of the biggest artists as they deliver us all your behind the scenes footage, interviews, and on stage performances from some of your favorite entertainers to grace Toronto. Eventually we arranged a meeting to further discuss this future associated agreement, so a month and a half later I found my self going to Universal Studios to sit down with the Asphalt Regime street team to brainstorm ideas and to talk some business.

In the next few months both Ambush Apparel and Asphalt Regime will be working diligently bringing you the best in clothing, interviews, music and lifestyle culture. We are pleased to be working along side Asphalt Regime and are stoked to be apart of such an industrious undertaking.

BANG.

Friday I attended the Hip Hop Summit held inside the CBC building down on Front St.  The event also doubled for a few pop up shops for some local brands like 1loveTO, Ideall & King Oak to name a few.  The event gained lots of traffic giving great exposure to local brands and live performers alike.  Everything from rapping to break dancing and even live painting went down as everyone held their own. Definitely a missed opportunity for Ambush Apparel. But familiar faces were seen, new contacts made and you can be expecting Ambush Apparel to be making our clothing more readily available through event’s just like this one in the near future. Big shout out goes to 1loveTO and Ideall for the fresh gear and to my new hombres over at King Oak. Support your locals.

Catch Up.

On another note we are currently working on more designs keeping it heavy with the typography, aggressive with bold designs, and vibrant with poppy colours.  As a business we are continuously  re-evaluating ourselves and our brand to further seek its full potential.  We remain focused on the task at hand and as these next few months pass I will be up dating you frequently on what could have seemed like a neglected blog.  ‘School; your taught a lesson then given a test.
